ComicPress Manager 0.7.0 Released!
ComicPress Manager 0.7.0 has been released. The biggest addition is the Change Dates feature, which allows you to shift the dates of a large number of comics and their associated posts. This is a very advanced feature, and before using it (or even trying it!) I suggest backing up your site and all your comics files or, better yet, set up a test WordPress site to experiment, and always perform a full backup before running a big move operation. Additionally, there were a large number of bug fixes, including fixing a common failure with editing the comicpress-config.php file. Download it here!

Wow, you’ve just gone through 4 updates before I had time to upgrade. It’s really looking impressive! One recommendation: If a feature is so “advanced” (read: “dangerous”), you might consider releasing a beta. Then again, that adds a lot of overhead to manage, and you need a good number of users who are willing to test run the beta.

Well, if you’re offering…
Additionally, the Change Dates features, regardless of the amount of testing, is a dangerous operation. It touches big chunks of the WP database and file system, and if something goes wrong in the middle (Apache dies on the server, the power gets pulled, the DB goes up, etc) it can leave the site in an inconsistent state. Hence the warnings.
